Mother’s Day
I took this picture of the sailboat a couple months ago. As I was sitting there I realized that if you be still long enough you can hear peace. The beach is more peaceful than I ever imagined. I remembered the last time my Mama was at the beach and the fun we had. She had found a stick and she would poke the jellyfish that had washed up to make sure they were dead. I think she knew that would be her last trip. My sweet Mama passed away in 2016 just a few days before Mother’s Day. That sailboat takes me back to a place where there weren’t any worries and no missing either one of my parents.
I’m not saying any of this to bring anyone down. Life is too short to live in such a fast paced world. I know that we all do and it’s hard to sit and be still. But I promise if you slow down just a little life can be more enjoyable but most of all time spent with your loved ones will leave such good memories. So the next time you find yourself in a rush stop…just wait and be still and enjoy the little things and all the time you have to spend with your Mama. Happy Mother’s Day to all.
