Life is not easy, that is for sure. I’m a parent to two wonderful children who are grown, however, it doesn’t change the fact that I worry. I want what is best for them but I, myself do not know what that is. I know that I see things in their life that aren’t great and it’s a struggle for me to guide them because they are their own person. Mamas do know best, but we as children have to learn for ourselves.

I have been to several funerals in the past few months, and it has saddened me so much. I struggle with death because it means it’s the end for those who pass. I struggle with finding the words to say to those who have lost loved ones and sometimes I think I try too hard.

I had to write a book for class. I decided to write a children’s book. In the book, the character must search from within to find himself and find what makes him happy. I realized that by writing this book, I was writing about myself. I felt lost in this busy world of life, and I wasn’t happy with the way things were going.

I say all this to say that no matter what goes on in life, never give up. It may seem that you have hit rock bottom with life, school, family, and friends, but I promise if you stay faithful and never give up, you will be successful.

My parents taught me to never give up, you fall down, you get back up, dust yourself off, and go after it again. Just because you fall down doesn’t mean you stay down. Life is hard, being a parent is hard, and losing someone is hard, but being there and never giving up on things will be more rewarding in the end. So, when you fall down, get up, search from within to find what makes you happy, and never give up!
